Robert Wiedemer, President
Robert A. Wiedemer is the President of Bull Bear Publishing and a Senior Investment Advisor at Bull Bear Investment Management. He is co-author of the landmark book America’s Bubble Economy (2006), which correctly predicted the 2008 Financial Crisis. As Paul Farrell, senior investment columnist at Dow Jones MarketWatch said, “In short, America’s Bubble Economy’s prediction, though widely ignored, was accurate.” Kiplinger’s chose it as one of the Best Business Books of 2006.
Mr. Wiedemer’s books, including Aftershock, which was chosen in 2009 by Smart Money magazine as one of the five best investment books of the year, have sold more than 1 million copies.
In 2009, Aftershock Second Edition became a New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestseller. Winning widespread international acclaim, the book also became a bestseller in Korea and was translated into both Chinese and Japanese and has been the subject of articles in The Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, EuroMoney, Barrons, Reuters, AP, and others. The audio version of the book was one of 5 business audio books nominated for an Audie Award.
In 2012, The Aftershock Investor, became a Wall Street Journal Bestseller, followed by The Aftershock Investor Second Edition in 2013, Aftershock Third Edition in 2014, and Aftershock Fourth Edition in 2015. His most recent book, Fake Money, Real Danger, was published in 2022.
An engaging speaker, Mr. Wiedemer has enlightened investors, financial analysts, and economists, including family office associations, the New York Hedge Fund Roundtable, SIFMA, CFA Societies (Chicago and San Francisco), the World Bank, and the National Press Club, of which he is a member. He has also been a frequent commentator on CNBC and Fox Business News.
Mr. Wiedemer is holds a Series 65 securities license (Registered Investment Advisor) and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.
Dr. David Wiedemer, Chief Economist
David Wiedemer, PhD is Chief Economist for Bull Bear Publishing. Along with Robert Wiedemer and Cindy Spitzer, Dr. Wiedemer coauthored America’s Bubble Economy (2006), Aftershock (2009, 2011, 2014, and 2015), The Aftershock Investor (2013, 2014), and the team’s most recent book, Fake Money Real Danger (2022).
His insightful macroeconomic analysis and accurate predictions well before the 2008 global Financial Crisis provided the basis for the cutting edge predictions contained in the books.
Dr. Wiedemer is also Chief Economist for Bull Bear Investment Management. He provides the macroeconomic views and complex macro analysis that underlie the firm’s macroeconomic investment decisions. Dr. Wiedemer was also critically important to every stage of the development of the Bull Bear Trading Strategy currently employed by Bull Bear Investment Management.
Dr. Wiedemer holds a PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
Cindy Spitzer
Cindy Spitzer is a writer for Bull Bear Publishing and a Senior Investment Advisor at Bull Bear Investment Management where she plays a key role in investment management and client development.
Along with Robert Wiedemer and David Wiedemer, Ms. Spitzer coauthored America’s Bubble Economy (2006), Aftershock (2009, 2011, 2014, and 2015), The Aftershock Investor (2013, 2014), and the team’s most recent book, Fake Money Real Danger (2022).
Ms. Spitzer has also collaborated on more than a dozen other books, including the first Chicken Soup for the Soul, Wilson’s Way, Buy and Hold is Dead (Again), and many others.
Drawing on her unusual background in science, non-fiction communications, and problem-solving consulting, Ms. Spitzer brings a unique approach to applying big picture macroeconomic ideas to real world decision-making. With a total of more than 700 consulting clients in nine countries, Cindy Spitzer continues to offer private consulting to individuals, businesses, and groups.
Ms. Spitzer holds a BA in Biology from the State University of New York, a master’s in Science Journalism from the University of Maryland, and a Series 65 (registered investment advisor).
